 The
Lake Champlain Committee (LCC) is the only citizens' group dedicated solely to protecting the natural resources and beauty of Lake Champlain and its surrounding watershed in the states of New York and Vermont and the province of Quebec. Through advocacy, education and scientific research, we take action towards:
 A CLEAN LAKE: Water in the Lake that is clean enough to support the full complement of native species and provide high quality drinking water to residents.
AN ACCESSIBLE LAKE: Recreational opportunities on and around the Lake Champlain that provide for a diversity of users, including anglers, sailors, pleasure boaters, paddlers, swimmers, cyclists, and those seeking quiet, unspoiled vistas.
 SUSTAINABLE LAND USES: Land use patterns throughout Lake Champlain watershed that provide access to its shores, nurture the economy, and protect the Lake's beauty, water quality, and abundant fish and wildlife.
AN ECOSYSTEM APPROACH: to Lake management, in which towns, states and nations look beyond political boundaries to protect all natural systems that make up the Lake watershed.
