Delve into the rich history of clay soils and the agricultural, engineering, and environmental challenges they pose in this day long course. Learn about their geologic origin, the ecology of the Champlain Valley clay plain, and the mineralogy and chemistry of clays. The program will take place in both indoor and outdoor settings so bring rain gear and mud boots for field demonstrations.
