Other Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Lake Champlain Committee (LCC). Our work would not be possible without the help of dedicated volunteers that share a love for Lake Champlain and the dedication to protect it.
Our community science programs and advocacy networks are full of dedicated volunteers, but our work as a non-profit organization does not end there. We always need and appreciate help for events, office administration, and work projects. Whether you have fundraising or carpentry skills, an expertise in water policy, a boat to lend, a knack for office work, or (most importantly) a just bit of time and a passion for the lake, we would love your help.
Fill out our General Volunteer Response Form and check off your areas of interest and we will be in touch with upcoming opportunities.

Work Project Volunteers
During the summer, LCC periodically schedules work projects and Lake Champlain Paddlers’ Trail clean-ups. Volunteer needs may range from a few people to over a dozen depending on the scope of the project. Past efforts have included invasive species assessments and removal days, shoreline clean-ups, and creating and maintaining Paddler’s Trail sites. If you have a boat (motorized or otherwise) or carpentry skills, work projects are a great option for you – but you do not need either to lend a hand for these one-off volunteer opportunities.

Office Volunteers
It takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to keep our office humming. LCC enthusiastically welcomes year-round office volunteers to provide administrative support for advocacy, stewardship, membership, fundraising, and marketing work. Our needs range from data entry and mailing help to research and filing. Being an LCC office volunteer is a great options for folks interested in assisting our lake protection and stewardship efforts from the comfort of a chair.

Event Volunteers
LCC hosts and participates in a variety of events throughout the year. Volunteers are always appreciated in assisting with registration, food and beverage serving, and spreading the word on LCC's lake work!
