Gary loved Lake Champlain. Binoculars at the ready, always a close eye on the level of the lake, concern for how the Winooski was affecting water clarity in a given summer, whether the storm rumbling above the Adirondacks would make it to Colchester Point. From the time his parents purchased the old "camp" decades ago until he re-furbished it as a year round home a few years back, Gary's life was never far from the lake. He passed his love of Lake Champlain on to his children and grandchildren as well, through winter picnics on the snowy shore listening to the sounds of cracking ice, long paddles in the inflatable row-boat, skipping perfectly flat stones that adorn the beach, and of course plenty of cleansing swims.

Gifts celebrating Gary’s lake connection have been received from Sarah, Shawn, Noah and Aliyah Keeley, Dennis Tafoya, Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Tsan, Judy Bradbury, and Lori Fisher and Ben Rose.
