Educators and interested citizens can learn more about the science behind climate change and action steps for students in a hands-on workshop. The day will include presentations, lab work, computer time and discussions. Keynote speaker Dr. Richard Kujawa will provide a geographer’s view of climate change, water and people.

The program will cover what science is important to know to understand climate change, the changes that are taking place locally, and actions students and communities can take. The workshop will run from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 10 at St. Michael’s College, Colchester, Vermont. A registration fee of $20 covers lunch and materials. The workshop is put on by the Champlain Basin Education Initiative (CBEI). LCC is a CBEI partner. To register, contact Colleen Hickey at chickey@ lcbp.org or call (802) 372-3213.
